The Penrith Cup brings our paddling community together for a season of regular club races, with opportunities for everyone from first-time racers to experienced competitors to get involved.
In 2026, we launched the Penrith Cup, a new series of regular club races designed to bring paddlers of all levels together for some friendly competition, skill-building and fun.
Across the 2026/2027 paddle season, club members and visiting paddlers can take part in 10 races across a mix of flatwater, Grade 2 and Grade 3 whitewater. Each race offers an opportunity to build racing experience, challenge yourself and enjoy paddling alongside other members of the club.
While there are bragging rights up for grabs at each race, we're also keeping a running tally across the series. At the end of the season, the overall Penrith Cup winners will earn a place in the WSWC Hall of Fame.
But the Penrith Cup isn't just about competition. Our club races are a chance for the whole community to get together, paddle alongside each other and enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere off the water too. Whether you're lining up for your first ever race or you've competed at the highest levels of the sport, everyone is welcome to join in, have a go and enjoy a bit of friendly banter along the way.
We acknowledge the Darug people as the traditional owners of the lands and waterways on which we live, work and paddle. We pay respect to Elders past and present, and celebrate the deep and enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country.
