We pride ourselves on offering something for all levels of paddlers, from beginner to advanced. We ensure everyone will always be challenged, working towards their individual goals and having fun along the way.
In our beginner lessons, paddlers learn how to be confident and safe on the water and learn basic strokes and boat control, all in a fun environment.
This social paddling group for adults meets weekly to practice basics on the flatwater, explore the rivers or conquer the rapids.
Keen to paddle but not ready to commit to regular lessons? Participants are welcome to attend any session as a casual.
Experienced paddlers can extend their skillset and learn some fun and impressive tricks in our weekly freestyle lessons.
We can help you find the best route into paddling that works for you, your skills and your confidence level.
Not at all! We have a spot on the water for everyone, no matter your starting point:
Slalom Fundamentals: Absolutely zero experience required. If you have a healthy sense of adventure, an appetite to learn, and don't mind getting wet, you’re ready to go!
Weekend Warriors: Our social, all-levels paddling group for adults. Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned pro, you are welcome here.
Freestyle Classes: Ready for tricks? For these advanced sessions, you just need to be confident and competent in Grade 3 Whitewater.
We have paddlers of almost all ages in our club! Here is how it breaks down:
Junior Paddlers: Our Slalom Fundamentals program is open to kids aged 8 and up. While many of our youth members find their rhythm around ages 10 to 12, any eager young adventurer is welcome.
Adult Paddlers: If you're an adult, don't worry about 'missing the boat' - it is never too late to start! Plenty of our active club members didn't pick up a paddle until their forties or beyond.
Virtually nothing to start! We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get out on the water.
What you need to bring:
Clothing: Swimmers or clothes you don't mind getting wet.
Footwear: Water shoes or other secure footwear that can get wet.
Sun protection: Don't forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and sun-safe clothing!
What we provide:
The essentials: We'll provide a boat, paddle, spray deck and all the equipment you need to get started.
Note: As paddlers progress into our more advanced or competitive squads, they typically start investing in their own personalised equipment.
Absolutely! We want you to make sure you love it before making a commitment.
You can join us for up to two Come & Try sessions completely free before deciding whether to sign up for our term-based program. It’s the perfect, pressure-free way to test the waters! Contact us to get started.
We acknowledge the Darug people as the traditional owners of the lands and waterways on which we live, work and paddle. We pay respect to Elders past and present, and celebrate the deep and enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country.
