Overview

The Orange group aims to training sessions to maximize development and skill acquisition in canoe slalom. This is the first of two groups with a focused approach onto racing with the goal of getting faster.

To assist in the streamlining with the Paddle Australia athlete development, we have worked with pathways coaches to create the following schedule and objectives for our orange group. Thus, the junior National Development Squad (NDS) has been factored into our programming to assist with those that are members of the program whilst challenging other members of the orange squad.

(note: NDS sessions are not run nor managed by the slalom academy and as such are at the discretion of Paddle Australia).

From this we believe we can help our athletes achieve their personal sporting goals from future national teams to being the best paddler/racer they can be whilst developing them into professional well balanced people.

Non-NDS orange will have 4 academy sessions a week

NDS athletes will have 4 academy sessions + 2 NDS sessions a week
